 : Targeted competences

 

   Pupils will be able to talk; ask and answer questions about some pet animals at the zoo

 

: Steps

 

1-Pupils get into the zoo and have an idea about what animals they can find and remember

 

. 2-Lable the animals that are in their cages using small sheets of papers

 

.3- Teacher ask pupils to present the animals using dialogues

 

.Example:         What’s this?   -This is a hen

 

4-Pupils practise Yes/No question and get short answers

 

Example:         -Is it a horse? -Yes, it is.        -Is it a rabbit?            No, it isn’t. It is a goat

 

.5- Pupils engage in free short conversation ask and answer about animals they see there

 

: Vocabulary practised 

 

Animal farm: a cat, a dog, a goat, a horse, a camel, a rabbit, a hen, a sheep, a cow

 

N.B:     Big thanks to the Zoology Park owner, but unfortunately, we could not find some targeted animals like cows, camels and ……..; hopefully, we shall find them in the coming visits
