Title: Weather Station

Trip destination: Weather Station, Noumirate - Ghardaia

 

: Targeted competences

Pupils will be able to talk and build simple sentences, ask and answer questions about different facts of the weather at the station

: Steps

 

1Pupils get into the station and have a short visit around it. This would make pupils remember what they learnt at class- 

 

2Listen to techni-cians who explain how to measure the weather facts and what tools we use to get data-

 

 3Teacher ask pupils to describe today’s weather, and supposes other cases of the weather. This activity is presented by using flashcards and pictures-

 

Example: What’s the weather like today? -It’s cloudy and cold

4Pupils practise Yes/No question and get short answers.

Example: -Is it cold today? -Yes, it is. -Is it hot today? No, it isn’t. It is cold

5Learners build simple sentences at home using the book and small sheets.

Example: -It’s cloudy day. -It’s rainy day. It’s hot and sunny day
