Tawenza English Camps organized the 11th edition of English Language Camp holding the slogan “I am THE CHEF”

Date: Friday, 6th March, 2020.

Camp slogan: “I am THE CHEF”

Place: El-BAHDJA RESORT, Echwahine. GHARDAIA

Tawenza English Camps organized the 11th edition of English Language Camp holding the slogan “I am THE CHEF” which meant to help kids develop their abilities in preparing and cooking simple daily meals, using nouns and verbs to form simple meaningful sentences. Campers dealt with three types of meals: Fruit salad, Chicken with green peas as a main meal, then sponge cake. It was a chance to use as much as they can different vocabulary learnt in class, express their feelings and practice cooking.

Learners reached the camp at 8.00 am then they were divided into 6 groups, 9 kids per each. Initially, the camp leader gave some main instructions on how to participate during workshops and encourage kids to use their English vocabulary as much as the can.

Our active trainers tried through three worktops to make English language funny and easy to use. Here are the worktop titles and their contents:

WORKTOP 1: Prepare and decorate one cup of different yummy fruits like: banana, orange, kiwi, and apple. All those were mixed up with one bottle of yogurt. Then at last, each learner enjoyed eating his/her yummy cup of fruit salad.

WORKTOP 2: Prepare and cook the main meal for lunch. It was Chicken with green peas. Here, everybody was doing his her duty like : peeling potatoes, slicing onion and carving chicken meat and so on.

WORKTOP 3: Prepare and cook the sponge cake which was served later on in the evening parent show.

It was really a challenge moments for both learner and trainer to prepare and cook their own lunch or make a homemade fruit salad cup, then finish the day with a sponge cake. What a nice day!

At 14.00, it was time to have lunch together in the yard.

Parents and their children gathered for an assembly in a very large living room to watch some pictures were taken during the day. The camp leader offered Chef hats to each learner for his or her remarkable efforts during the day.

At 6.00 pm, the campers left the resort and wished to have such memorable moments in future.
